Project Overview

The Challenge

Direct startup of a high-capacity 55kW oil pump creates high electrical inrush currents and severe fluid shockwaves (water hammer effect) in transfer pipelines, risking power fluctuations at the port and mechanical strain on pumping equipment during marine vessel discharge.

Engineered and installed an IP55-rated soft starter control panel featuring soft-start/soft-stop voltage ramping, integrated bypass contactors, comprehensive thermal and overload protections, and an emergency shutdown circuit tailored for bulk fuel handling.
